We apologize for the delay in posting. It was juat about impossible to Blog while we were traveling. For some reason nothing would work!! Do you think it could just be us?? Anyway, we arrived in San Ramon on Friday evening and stayed here at the La Posada which is beautiful, clean and tastefully done all around except for the privacy factor. The rooms ventilate into a shaft that opens to the outdoors and sound travels incredibly!! Definitely an understatement and easier to explain in person! The first night we were awake all night listening to lots of "boom boom", knocking on doors, screaming and fighting, and roosters at all hours of the night. Saturday was a bit better and finally Sunday night we had a great nights sleep, whether from exhaustion or quiet we're not quite sure!! The one really great thing about the La Posada is that they offer a breakfast to die for. It starts with a plate of fresh fruit, then your choice of American or Costa Rican traditional breakfast or Continental. We ate the former two and were stuffed!!The American breakfast consisted of toast, eggs any way, meat, lg. juice, jam, honey and coffee. The CR breakfast also included beans and a tostada but no toast!! On top of the great food, you are treated like royalty!
Our room was upstairs and below Sharon is sitting in the common area near the garden and when Don went to bursh his teeth, she could hear every noise!!! Does that give you an idea of what we expeienced??
The mesh covered gardens were full of these beautiful orchids and other exotic plants!! Just amazing!
All of the rooms had these carved doors which were stored in a large area next to the check in desk. Not only were the doors carved but the furniture was also.

Don, Jose and Jose's son, Joel. O.K. he doesn't look like your typical real estate agent, but he is very informative and a fun guide as well. 
The produce here that Don was admiring is the two legged kind!! She was very cute!!
Jose, the man with the yellow hat, introduced us to Helen and her husband, Greg, who have just move to Costa Rica from the States. He is in a wheelchair--scooter actually--and I asked mucho questions about getting around Costa Rica for people who are physically challenged. He was only familiar with San Ramon, but they do tour and, Pam, things are looking up for your visit!!!

Sadly, there are people living on the street in San Jose! Today when Julie took us to the Mall (yes, just like in the US), I noticed a bunch of laundry, or something, hanging near a bridge on the freeway and asked what that was about. Believe it or not, people live under the bridge in corrigated metal shelters with power, t.v. and even trees. In Costa Rica if you stay on a piece of land for a certain length of time, (not a very long time) the property becomes yours. These people are called squarters and the ones under the bridge are called the Bridge People.
