Day Six - Climb the Mountain.

Look at all those manderin oranges!! And...we ate every single one!! After we got over the crest of the mountain, we followed a ridge down and along the way we found some of the most outrageous views of Santa Ana and San Jose in the distance.
I am one happy camper full of manderin oranges, starting down the hill and sitting in a mess of multi-colored Impations that grow wild all along the side of the road.
These trees are huge and shade a city block. Can you believe those roots? They even hold me! And...more Ipatients!

That is awesome that you are getting such great fruit there. And you can pick them on the side of the road. That is even better. I would always carry a bad with me. You never know when you will need it.

I'll bet those mandarin oranges were sweet....You guys look great and it's good to see Don smiling - remember Don - "no news is good news!!" Believe me you haven't missed a thing! Love you both and miss you bunches.

Yes, there are lots of mango, papaya, coconut and other fruits of which I cannot remember the names. There are also lots of fruit juice, even blackberry which they call Mora. Most eating places have a typical Tico meal which consists of choices of beans, rice a couple meat dishes, vegetable dishes, fried bananas, desert and a choice of fruit juice. You can usually find them for about $3.00 and it is far more food than you need or want!! But...we usually eat it all anyway!!
