Day 15 - The Streets of Grecia

In Costa Rica Fica trees grow tall and lush, nothing like the one in my livingroom, and they are everywhere! The ones in this picture are on the street in front of the Red Church in Grecia. Also, a row of them are planted up the driveway to our house. The park here in Grecia was exceptionally clean and beautifully landscaped.

As you can see, there are many Tico gardners to keep it looking nice. When we passed by at about 7:30 a.m. they were washing the sidewalks and, as you can see, taking a little break!! They all said "good morning" at diffeent times sounding like a colliope!
There is never a shortage of Taxis and usually they line up along a main street waiting for riders. In the evening in Ciudad Colon there is a line of 12 or 15 or more Taxis waiting in front of the church to take people to their homes when the get off the bus from work. We could get a Taxi but, we like to walk! So far we have only taken a Taxi once in San Jose to get to the other bus station when we went to San Ramon. Our friend and Dentist said it was not safe to walk through that particular part of San Jose. We took his advise and paid the 1,000 colones ($2.00) and felt it was the right decision looking out the window of the bus!! Posted by Picasa
