Also at the La Paz Waterfall Gardens is a replica of what Tico life was years ago. They even had a real cow at the back door! The first picture is of the main house with the outbuildings in the foreground. Notice the yolk hanging from the edge of the porch roof! Inside there was a beautiful fireplace which felt good!! The day was at times a bit chilly and at other times quite warm, depending on whether or not we were covered in clouds. The La Paz Waterfall Gardens are located on the way to the Poas Volcano and are quite high in altitude. Did you notice Sharon sitting in the very comfy rocking chair and Jere by the fire? We were offered coffee, cheese, breadpudding and sugarcane juice hot with milk. Very sweet!! Wouldn't you know we were fasting for our Colonostomy that we were having the next day!!! Just our luck!! (I cheated a little but not Don. He's so strong!) The bed you see in the background looked like it was as wide as a queensized bed but only as long as a crib. Well, maybe a bit longer!! It was also very hard having a "natural" mattress!! Don't you just love the quilt? The food on the table all grow abundantly in Costa Rica!
