Day 28 - A Bahai New Years Party!

Today was the day we went to the "bad" part of town looking for our camera. Poor Dan and Phyllis got to experience a little more of San Jose than they probably needed! It wasn't all bad, however, we did some shopping and we did find the camera!

After our harrowing day in the city we arrived home to Jere & Julie's Bahai New Years Party!! It was the extreme opposite of our visit to San Jose and although exhausted, we decided to experience the event!! We had entertainment, food and even fireworks! Met lots of nice Bahai people and just enjoyed being in a peaceful environment!! Yes, there we are watching a video about the Pilgrimage some of the Bahais are taking to Isreal.












I think the words that lit up the lawn say something like "Happy New Year!" The Bahias have been fasting for the last month, eating only before sunrise and after sunset. They definitely had reason to celebrate!!!
